The losing party before the Court of Cassation is ordered to pay the costs; however in practice, these are never liquidated as their amount is negligible.

Both the Council of State and the Court of Appeal can oblige the losing party to pay for the irrecoverable costs; it is an indemnity intended to partially cover the amount of attorney fees.

Upon conviction of the defendant to pay off the costs, the firm’s amicably calls for his opponent and colleague, then, in case of want of payment, he  has the lawyer informed of the appeal court’s decision.

He then addresses this ruling to his client or to their lawyer at the court of appeal so that they may proceed to its execution.

Regarding telephone calls, the switchboard operator will put you through to the assistant in charge of the procedural follow-up of your dossier.

You can also ask to speak to Mr Le Prado or the associate lawyer studying your case.

A meeting with Mr Le Prado is equally possible once he has assessed your dossier with his colleague so that an interview may be beneficial.
